About Hasta La Vuelta

Let me introduce you to Hasta La Vuelta Restaurant, a restaurant that quietly captures the laid-back charm of La Paz while still feeling lively and social the moment you step in. Located at Julian Sandoval 1001, La Paz, Bolivia, this spot feels like the kind of place you recommend to friends when they ask where locals actually go to eat, drink, and linger, because it blends familiarity with a sense of discovery. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, with a casual energy that works just as well for an easygoing lunch as it does for an evening catch-up over drinks, and the room naturally fills with conversation. I like how the space adapts to your mood, offering comfortable dine-in seating, a pleasant outdoor seating option when the weather cooperates, and convenient takeaway for days when time is tight. What really stands out is how Hasta La Vuelta balances simplicity with variety, especially when it comes to drinks and social moments. The menu leans confidently into its alcohol offerings, featuring beer, wine, spirits, and well-made cocktails that feel thoughtful rather than overcomplicated, which makes choosing easy even if you’re indecisive. It’s the kind of place where ordering a drink feels natural, whether you’re celebrating something small, meeting coworkers, or just unwinding after a long day in the city. For more intimate gatherings, there’s also a private dining room that adds a quieter, more personal layer to the experience, making it easy to host a small group without losing that friendly restaurant feel. Service flows smoothly without feeling rushed, encouraging conversation, shared plates, and second rounds, while the central location makes it simple to drop in spontaneously or plan ahead with confidence. Because the atmosphere stays approachable, first-time visitors quickly feel at ease, and returning guests appreciate the consistency in service options, drink quality, and the easy rhythm of the room.

A restaurant locals love for its authentic, well made and tasty traditional Bolivian dishes. My favorite was the "Picante Mixto (with Saice)" and "Ají de lengua (cow's tongue)". The first dish is large enough to be shared between two people. The owner is very friendly. The place is very lovely; it's an old Spanish style house with a balcony and front yard.

The restaurant has outdoors with a balcony. The place is clean and very comfortable, staff is friendly and u even get the owner that comes up to ask how is everything. Talking about food the menu has only 12 dishes (with complementary entree soup) so they keep it simple, traditional Bolivian dishes all of them. Portions are very good and the taste is excellent.

The place is nice and clean. The menu is concise, has 8 items of classic Bolivian food made traditionally and splendidly. The food comes in a great presentation, exactly what you see on the site. The portions are generous and it's definitely worth the money and the short wait. I really enjoyed the experience as the staff was attentive and polite. As a Bolivian coming back from a long stay outside the country I was pleasantly surprised by such a great mix of classic Bolivian food, which was clearly made fresh to order. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tradicional culinary experience of some of the best Bolivian dishes.

Big and delicious plates! They have a good menu of traditional plus nice drinks and cocktails. The Picantes here are very tasty and large enough for 2. Other dishes are as good, and will serve one hungry customer. While you wait, they will give you some nice bread and llajwa as most places do, but also will serve some ham and pork cheese that you can also buy. The servers are extremely polite as is the host or owner whom is also very attentive. Lastly, during this pandemic times they will take your temperature and disinfect you when you arrive, and I recommend sitting outside to get a ventilated area. One last though: try to get early so you don't miss any of the options in the menu, sometimes they sold out.

Great restaurant with big portions of traditional Bolivian food. That was the best lengua I've had in La Paz so far!

The food was really good and the waiters were actually great, trying to keep up with the large number of customers. Our table (for two) seemed improvised (was different than all other tables and in the middle of the way) and the place in general was too busy, it seemed they were unable to serve that many people at the same time and were in over their heads.
